Brookdale Park

The Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series offers a diverse lineup of performers who will take center stage throughout our historic Parks System. Pack a blanket, enjoy the cool evening breeze, and dance to the sounds of summer.

There are two main access roads. One is the West Circuit Drive, which is on the Montclair side of the park. The other is East Circuit Drive, which is on the Bloomfield side of the park. Both roads can be reached by Watchung Ave and Bellevue Ave. West Circuit Drive can also be reached through an entry point at Grove St. The Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series will take place in the meadow on the south side of the park (the Watchung Ave side). The most direct parking lot to the meadow is the East Circuit Drive Parking Lot. This lot can be accessed by entering the park from Watchung Ave. There are currently 5 handicap accessible spots in the lot. To reach the meadow, there are stone steps or a paved inclined path closer to the football field. Upon reaching the top of the steps or incline, turn left to head towards the meadow. The paths throughout the park are paved. Seating for the concerts is on the grass in the meadow. Park patrons bring their own seating for the concerts. There is a restroom building located between the meadow and the football field. The Children's Playground is also located nearby.
