Online Reservations are highly encouraged and guarantee your spot. You cannot call to make a reservation. You can try for a walk-up slot. Walk-ups without reservations cannot be guaranteed admission. Walk-ups are taken on a first come, first served basis, after all reservations are accommodated if there is still availability.
RULES & REGULATIONS
In order to experience the Essex County TreeTop Adventure Course, the following physical requirements must be met:
Junior Course:
Min Age – 6 years old
Max Weight – 250lbs
Adult Course:
Min Height – 54in.
Max Weight – 250lbs
Zip Line:
Min Age – 6 years old
Min Weight – 80 lbs
Max Weight – 250 lbs
All participants must have a completed and signed Participant Agreement Form. Participant Agreement Forms can be printed via the link below. We strongly request you print them out and complete them before your arrival. Reservations can be made via the link at the bottom of the page.

Required Attire & Footwear:
Please remember the physical nature of the adventure. Only guests who are wearing athletic sneakers will be allowed to participate. No sandals, flip flops, Toms, Crocs, Uggs, slip-ons, heeled boots, leather dress shoes or other footwear not intended for physical & athletic outdoor use will be permitted on the course (at the discretion of the course Supervisors). Clothing that a harness will not safely fit over will not be permitted on the course. Our expert adventure guides recommend that you bring a pair of slip resistant gloves (none are sold on premises).
We are unable to store any personal belongings so please keep that in mind when preparing for your adventure. Any purses, backpacks or satchels must be unobtrusive and sit comfortably above your waist if you want to bring them on the course.
Refund Policy:
Once the adventure is paid for, there will be no refunds for any reason. If you are asked to leave the course by staff or if you retire from the activity, there will be no refunds. Similarly, maximum capacity guidelines prohibit any and all transference of activities (i.e. if you pay for the adult course you cannot switch to the junior course for any reason). Purchases are not transferable between participants.:
Reservations can be made only up until the day before your visit, at www.turtlebackzoo.com, if space is available. We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. Reservations are forfeited 30 minutes after their start time. If there are course wait times, reservations will be accommodated as soon as possible.
We do accept day of walk-ups however, walk-ups without reservations cannot be guaranteed admission. Walk-ups are taken on a first come, first served basis, after all reservations are accommodated if there is still availability.

Disclaimer:
Essex County Treetop Adventure Course reserves the right to refuse admission to or order off the course anyone who disregards the safety rules or who appears to our staff to be unable to complete the course. Pregnant women or persons with heart conditions are expressly prohibited from going on the course. Anyone who has been drinking alcoholic beverages or taking medications or other substances that may affect her/his ability to perform on the course is prohibited from participating.
PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to enter The Essex County Turtle Back Zoo in order to enter the TreeTop Adventure Course. Please follow the directional signage in the parking lot to access the walkway to the facility.
