Weequahic Golf Course

Weequahic Golf Course Construction Beginning September 3, 2024 Course Reopening in Summer 25

About

Originally Designed by George Lowe (then Baltusrol Pro) in 1913. Weequahic Golf Course opened for play in 1914, making it the oldest public golf course in the state of New Jersey. Over time renovations were done to turn it into an 18 hole golf course. in September 2024- Summer 2025 Weequahic will undergo a full renovation including new greens, tees, bunkers and an updated routing to provide much improved playability.

The course sits amongst the beautiful Weequahic Park on the shoreline of a 200 acre lake with the same name. It offers rolling topography and beautiful conditions that offer extreme value. Don’t let the length fool you, the tight fairways, elevation changes and small greens tend to test even the best golfers, and force you to use all the clubs in your bag.

A historic course nestled in Newark with easy access from multiple major highways awaits. From beginners to experienced golfers, this course is incredible for all playing abilities. With views of One World Trade and the Iconic Anheuser building you will want to keep coming back.
