ESSEX COUNTY SOUTH MOUNTAIN RESERVATION ANNUAL FAMILY CAMPOUT

Activities are designed for children ages 4 through 12. Families with young children seeking a nature-intensive outdoor experience are invited to register for the 10th annual SMR Family Campout, taking place at Summit Field in Essex County South Mountain Reservation. Co-sponsored by the South Mountain Conservancy & Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs, this event features programming from the Essex County Environmental Center, nature games, animal exhibits from Essex County Turtle Back Zoo, guided hikes, kids’ exploration and crafts, live music, a campfire with stories, morning yoga and a Sunday breakfast.
