DIY FIRE CIDER FOR WINTER WELLNESS

For adults. Fire Cider is a traditional herbal folk remedy that uses easily accessible kitchen ingredients to create a powerful winter tonic. This vinegar and honey-based infusion has been used throughout the ages to keep the immune system strong all winter long. We will discuss the history and tradition of Fire Cider, the medicinal properties and benefits of the ingredients that go into it, as well as recommended guidelines for how to use it. Everyone will create their own Fire Cider to take home. Led by Roxana Marroquin, Rutgers Cooperative Extension Program Associate, Agriculture & Natural Resources. Fee: $30 per person
